I’m a support worker already, but I’m seriously thinking of moving into nursing so I can forge a career out of caring for people with mental ill health. However, I also have bipolar disorder. I am on medication and it is under control and I know organisations aren’t allowed to discriminage, but I was off ill for four years after being diagnosed. I attempted suicide and self harm but I was never sectioned. Will these incidents go against me if I apply?

Rarely do i feel anxious socially, but when I do, my throat feels like it has a lump in it and is tight. Does anyone know how to get past these social anxiety problems and throat tightness?

I need to know some good and bad things for your mental health. I have to show examples of good things for your mental health. But then also what is bad for your mental health. I need things that are easy to draw.

I think I might have mild-moderate depression, and there is someone at the college where I go who does mental health evaluations, and then I guess decides whether they’re going to refer you to someone. I’m just wondering how this works, its doesn’t sound like a therapy session kind of thing, it sounds like a get to the point kind of thing, what do I need to prepared to answer and say? Thank you.
